Diary sub-note: 1914. Battle of the Aisne begun

Went & bought a new coat, suit & skirt at Barkers with Andy. Daddie bought me a new fountain pen. We went shopping in the afternoon. Went to see Shirley Temple in “Poor Little Rich Girl”.
