Diary sub-note: 1773. War of Independence of America begun Had diction exam. Finished exams & the term ended. Sewed all afternoon & read the papers.

Diary sub-note: 1907. Lord Kelvin, scientist, died Went to see “Le Faiseur.” Had no exams but drawing in the morning. Packed my presents & Christmas cards. Cut out pictures of David. He has a chill & is in bed.
