These is the final Sketch of the Week post, as it is the last of the drawings I have by Peggy. This week in 1937, she sketched ‘The David’, by Michelangelo, in Florence. She has signed it ‘Betty Newgass’. Peggy was known as Betty for most of her life.
Today’s Sketch of the Week by Peggy is of an unnamed woman in the 1940s.
Today’s Sketch of the Week is an unnamed man in army uniform. Peggy has dated it 6/12/42 and signed it with the initials BN (for Betty Newgass).
Today’s Sketch Of The Week is called ‘Winter afternoon in the dog house’, featuring Jenny, Curry, Candy and Jinks. It is dated 24.2.56. It reminds me of winter evenings in her house when I was small, in front of the open fire with her dogs. It’s just missing the toasting crumpets!
This week’s Sketch Of The Week by Peggy is of a pair of galloping horses.
