Dairy sub-note: 1696. Mme. de Sévigné, French writer, died
Moon: Last Quarter, 9.21 p.m.

Had my hair done in the morning. Saw Pat & Joy. Dr Coad took me into Reading to see Dr Le Manquant who put me on a diet. We went back to tea with the Coads’. Lavender Windham drove us back home. Dr Coad came in the evening.
